NAME : Edgar Michael Bones.
MEANING : EDGAR; Derived from the Old English element ead "rich, blessed" combined with gar "spear". MICHAEL; From the Hebrew name מִיכָאֵל (Mikha'el) which meant "who is like God?". This is the name of one of the seven archangels in Hebrew tradition and the only one identified as an archangel in the Bible. BONES;
NICKNAMES : His brother calls him "Ed" sometimes if he's in a rush, but he usually goes by Edgar. There's no way of shortening that and still making it sound cool.
BIRTHDATE : July 5, 1953.
AGE : Twenty-Four.
RESIDENCE : New Alresford, Hampshire, England.

HISTORY.
Edgar was not a cooperative child. He cried, threw fits, and hated being fussed at. As he grew older, he calmed considerably and while he still enjoyed being the bane of his parents' existence, mouthing off to his elders and saying things that were absolutely inappropriate, he had found a cooler way of doing it than throwing a tantrum.
He turned eleven and received his Hogwarts letter, and was sent off to school to learn History and Magic and all sorts of exciting things. His days of Hogwarts are all more or less a blur, but he recalls being very glad that his parents weren't around to yell at him nearly as much as they did when he was at home. He reacted to authority figures at school very much the same way he reacted to his parents, giving smart-aleck responses, rolling his eyes at how angry they were about the tiniest things, and disregarding the rules completely.
Edgar was clever enough that he didn't have to study too hard to get the marks that he wanted, but not so clever that he could get away with not doing any studying at all. During his fifth year, Edgar began settling down and giving serious thought to what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. His first thought was "nothing boring," so following that route, he went from dragon breeder to Unspeakable and anything in between, before landing on Auror. He knew that the qualifications for becoming an Auror was incredibly stringent and he actually studied for his exams to get the scores he needed. When people brought this up, he scoffed and said, "Of course I am. I'm a Hufflepuff, I'm supposed to be a hard worker." This hard working strain lasted until he became a qualified Auror, when he took a breath of relief and began to take time to enjoy life again.
While he was in training, he went on many visits to St. Mungos, and on one of them, met a young healer by the name of Bernadette St Pierre. He tried very hard to get poisoned a few times after that so he could see her but not seem too desperate doing so, but, at the same time, he thought constantly getting plant poisoning was not the coolest way to get a girl to like you, so he asked her to get tea, then one thing lead to another and they had somehow become an Item. Edgar toyed with the idea of proposing, but it did seem as though he was moving a bit too fast and he didn't really even have a real job yet, so it seemed rather daft at the time. But once his training ended, he decided caution be damned and went and did it anyway. By some miracle of god, she said yes, they were married, and popped out a fantastic little boy called Ian and a gorgeous little girl called Abigail soon after.
PERSONALITY.
Edgar is a sarcastic fellow with a dry sense of humor. He's incredibly deadpan with his responses which make people wonder whether or not he's actually serious, but those who are close to him know him well enough know that nearly everything he says is tongue-in-cheek. Though, there is always the downside that you can't really tell when he is or isn't being serious because he can say everything with such a straight face.
Extremely easy-going and level-headed, it takes a lot to get Edgar worked up and emotional, but he is strangely prone to frustration, especially when it comes to the war. He doesn't understand why people keep insisting on killing people, innocent people, just to prove to the world that they're special. If they want to be that special, they form a little club and go live on an island with special trees and special fish where they can talk about how special they are compared to the rest of the world. Besides, if they get rid of everyone else, they won't be special anymore, they'll be ordinary. Stupidity and illogic gets him angry and irritable, but he never really lets himself get into an actual argument with people. Instead, he makes sarcastic little quips and if they're clever enough to understand it, they will.
APPEARANCE.
Nearly everything about Edgar's appearance is average. He's of average height and average build, with and carries himself with an ease and confidence that doesn't make him stand out in a crowd, but doesn't make him disappear completely, either. He has boyish looks and charm, mostly contributed by his playful smile, but it helps that he hasn't aged much at all since he was younger. His hair is a soft, curly, brown mop that hasn't changed a bit since he was six years old and his eyes are still as wide and curious, with the exception of the slight crows feet that occur when he's smiling.
